Trainee / Assistant Buyer
Bishop's Stortford
£20,000 - £28,000 per year
Gap Construction is proud to be representing a high-end, privately owned housebuilder based in East Hertfordshire. Due to consistent growth and a strong order book for 2025 and beyond, they are now seeking a Trainee or Assistant Buyer to join their head office team near Bishop's Stortford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and ambitious business, offering long-term stability, ongoing development, and a varied role supporting their commercial and procurement functions.
Person Specification
- Buying or procurement experience within a residential construction setting is advantageous.
- Practical understanding of buying processes and procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive team approach.
- Commitment to delivering best-value procurement solutions.
- Good IT skills and the ability to stay organised in a busy environment.
- Confidence working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Willingness to learn from and support a Senior Strategic Buyer on bulk procurement and supply chain management.
