Gap construction is proud to be representing a leading UK property developer in their search for a Project Manager to drive the development of an expanding hotel portfolio. This role requires expertise in managing the full project lifecycle, with a strong focus on RIBA Stages 1-4. The successful candidate will oversee asset enhancement and value-add projects, including work on listed buildings, extensions, density increases, and office-to-hotel conversions. We are looking for a dynamic professional who can enhance hotel brands, improve buildability, and ensure an outstanding guest experience.
Performance Objectives:
- Lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on schedule and within budget.
- Drive projects forward through all phases, with a key focus on RIBA Stages 1-4.
- Engage and collaborate with planners, architects, designers, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, building standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Oversee construction within operating hotels to minimize disruption.
- Conduct market research and provide innovative solutions to improve guest experience.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory requirements.
- Clearly communicate project requirements to suppliers and stakeholders.
Person Specification:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager, ideally within the hotel sector.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, building functionality, and regulations.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset with sound decision-making skills.
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail while maintaining a strategic outlook.
- Proficiency in IT tools and the ability to interpret technical and architectural drawings.
- Willingness to travel across the UK with potential overnight stays.
